The complete gu10 shower fire-rated downlight is perfect for a wide range of applications and installations in your premises. The range utilises patented integrated intumescent material completely sealing the downlight and cut-out in the event of a fire. New and improved loop in spring clips/out terminal block for quick and easy installation. Tested in 90-minute fire-rated ceilings.
In the event of a fire, the downlight hole is like a gateway that allows the fire to spread through. Once the fire starts to spread through this hole it has direct access to the adjoining structure. Fire-rated downlights seal off the hole in order to slow down the spread of fire. Above all, our modern fire-rated downlight is fitted with an intumescent pad that swells up when it reaches a certain temperature and blocks the spread of fire. After that, the fire then has to find another way around – delaying its progress.
